More About Marana Unified School District
Inspiring Students to Learn Today & Lead Tomorrow
MUSD is about equity, empowerment, and supporting students to thrive, and we know that it takes passionate and inspiring educators to make it happen.
Serving as the educational cornerstone for Marana and NW Tucson, MUSD is home to a committed team of 1,700 teachers and staff. This dedicated workforce educates 13,000 students across a diverse range of facilities, including ten elementary schools, two K-8 schools, two middle schools, three high schools, and the Early Learning and Resource Center.
In light of our commendable letter-grade evaluation from the Arizona Department of Education, our district is working toward a series of forward-looking projects that will enrich the learning experience of every student.
Our schools are united in their mission to attain the High Reliability Schools (HRS) Level 1 Certification. This goal underscores our commitment to establishing environments that are safe, nurturing, and collaborative.

Meet the Leadership Team
In MUSD, we know that leadership makes a difference - especially for teachers!
Dr. Dan Streeter
Superintendent
Dr. Dan Streeter is proud to serve as superintendent of the Marana Unified School District. Prior to coming to MUSD in July 2020, Dr. Streeter served five years as the superintendent for the Humboldt Unified School District, Yavapai County’s largest school district. During that time, Dr. Streeter led a major strategic reform plan focused on redefining, redesigning, and reimagining education. This included the collaborative development of a strategic plan focused on a system-wide vision of 21st-century education consisting of a focus on collaborative teaching and learning environments, high-quality instruction, standards-referenced reporting, and competency-based education.
Assistant Superintendents
